The Green Team would like to support and assist neighbors in identifying street tree needs and addressing issues. However, as these are City trees, there is an process and order we must follow to best engage the City.
CALL 311: It's necessary to first call or go to 311 Online (311.dc.gov) to request street tree services, including reporting emergencies, pruning, removals, and planting. Your request will be filled as follows:
- Emergency Requests - within 72 hours
- Routine Maintenance Requests - Inspection within 30 days
- Planting - November to May, annually - Submit requests by June 15
- Pruning and Removal - Up to 9 months to complete
EMAIL THE GREEN TEAM: If your request is not addressed by the City after submitting a 311, please email the Green Team at firstname.lastname@example.org with your service request number and date. We will compile a list of unaddressed tree issues and with the support of our ANC representative, we will work to have these issues resolved.
