Please join Rock Creek Conservancy and National Park Service for a socially-distant trash cleanup! We will be focusing our cleanup efforts on Carter Barron Amphitheatre.

Trash, the visible form of pollution, is one of the biggest threats to our precious parklands and waterways. By reducing the trash and pollution on land we are decreasing the chance of this litter entering our creek, rivers, and larger bodies of water through stormwater runoff.

Activity: Volunteers will participate in a socially-distant trash cleanup.

When: Saturday, June 12th from 9am to 12pm

Where: Meet at the Carter Barron Amphitheater, located just off Colorado Ave NW. Detailed instructions and directions will be sent to all registered participants prior to the event.

 Volunteers must wear a mask for the duration of this service event! Please register - for safety reasons we will not accept walk-ups. 

What to Wear: Please dress appropriately for the work and weather. Wear long sleeves, pants, and sturdy boots or sneakers.

What to Bring: Please bring your own gloves if you can, as well as water.

Weather/Cancellation Policy: All participants will be notified via email at least 12 hours before the event start time if an event is canceled due to inclement weather. If you do not hear from us you should assume the event will occur as scheduled. All cancellations will be updated on the event calendar listing as well. Please check back if you are unsure.
