Children’s National Hospital is in urgent need of blood donations for over 1,200 kids currently receiving treatments. The blood banks throughout the city are running very low as COVID-19 has interrupted many traditional blood drives on university campuses, offices, etc.

Crestwood neighbor Grace Lutheran Church (4300 16th Street, NW) will be hosting a BY APPOINTMENT ONLY blood drive for the Children’s National Hospital on February 6, 2021, and is hoping to be able to recruit 20-23 donors. The details are as follows:

2.      Register: Follow this link to schedule an appointment to donate on 2/6/2021

3.      Bring your photo ID to Grace Lutheran Church for your appointment.

4.      Other details:

• Donations will take around 45-50 minutes total including paperwork
• All donors must eat a very hearty breakfast and/or lunch as begin to hydrate the day before and day of donation drink 16oz. 
• No fasting before or after a blood drive
• Everyone must present photo ID upon checking in for appointment time. 
• All donors must be at least 17yo on the day of donation. 
•  All COVID-19 precautions will be strictly followed, including the use of masks and physical distancing.
